We Are Getting A New Name
We are getting a new name - intu Watford - as part of a UK-wide rebrand for our parent company, Intu Properties plc.
At the moment, we have 12 different brands in the UK. By promoting one single brand, we’ll make international audiences sit up and take us even more seriously. We’ll be able to bring you the most cutting-edge global retailers and attract even more exciting international partners like Paramount Films and Elite Model Agency.
We didn’t enter into this lightly. Time has been spent testing our new name with both customers and retailers. It had to work as a stand-alone digital domain so couldn’t be too common-garden or ordinary. We were keen to find something that genuinely worked as a link to our different regional names without being too much of a mouthful.
Our name-change is one part of a much bigger £25m investment across all sites – providing free WiFi in all our public spaces, world-class staff training and an ambitious new web-site.
Above all, Watford shoppers will benefit from an even better customer experience. The idea behind our new web-site – launching in April - is to make your life as easy as possible. You’ll be able to order a product from many of our retailers and either choose home delivery or pick it up from our centre at a time that suits you. We’re also refreshing and updating the centre itself – look out for new signage and enhanced customers service desks from May onwards.
